You think you have the stuff to beat the best?
This February 20th, the Dellutri Law Group is proud to be the Title Sponsor for the Chili Challenge, a chili cook-off competition and family friendly community event and fundraiser, benefiting Southwest Florida Lawyers Helping Children Inc., a 501c3 nonprofit organization.
The inaugural Chili Challenge will be held at the Six Bends Harley Davidson in Fort Myers on February 20, 2016. The Chili Challenge was the brainchild of Carmen Dellutri, founder of the Dellutri Law Group, who was looking for a way to connect lawyers and the general public in a concerted effort to raise funds to benefit children in the local community. A portion of the proceeds derived from the event will be used to help promote child safety in our community.
We invite you, your firm, and friends or family to form a team and compete in this fantastic event! The Chili Challenge will include a fun and interactive chili cook-off contest with chili prepared on site by teams from local law firms, where the chili will be judged in front of the team’s families, community and community leaders. In addition, there are opportunities for sponsorship and vendors at the event. The event will also have a kid zone, live entertainment, raffles, demonstrations and more.
After the Chili Challenge concludes, this year’s proceeds will be used to purchase bicycle helmets for children within the Lee County area. Each year, injuries and death occur due to bicycle-related accidents. In 2014, Lee County ranked 11th in the state of Florida for its rate of cyclist fatalities per 100,000 people with 215 bicycle-involved accidents resulting in 8 fatalities; even one child is too many. According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and Highway Loss Data Institute, helmet use has been estimated to reduce the odds of head injury by 50 percent. The goal this year is provide 500 children with approved bicycle safety helmets.
Sponsors and vendors are needed to underwrite the cost of the event and helmets for children in our community. Join us in supporting the safety of our children by helping raise funds for our local community. General vendor details are attached. We are willing to work with vendors to create customized partnership packages, if desired. Please contact us to discuss how you can help.
